Where burnout recovery meets creative connection

Welcome To Grit & Greens!

My Story

I didn’t grow up a gardener. In fact, before 2020, I could barely keep a houseplant alive. But during the stillness of the global pandemic—like so many women—I found myself craving beauty, purpose, and something to care for in the middle of a life that no longer felt like mine.

So I started small. A pothos on the shelf. A snake plant by the window.
And before I knew it, I was hooked.

What began as a way to brighten my apartment and improve the air became something much deeper. Gardening became a lifeline—a practice that grounded me when everything else felt uncertain. It relaxed my nervous system. It reawakened my creativity. And it reminded me what it feels like to nurture something slowly, with care.

I realized this wasn’t just about plants.
It was about reconnecting—with my space, my spark, and myself.

This blog grew out of that journey.

This is a space for the woman who’s:

  • Burnt out but not broken
  • Longing for more than the daily grind
  • Ready to slow down and reconnect with what matters
  • Drawn to beautiful, grounding things—like plants, quiet mornings, and creative rituals
  • On the edge of rediscovery, and wondering what her next chapter could look like

Here you’ll find stories, journaling prompts, and inspiration to help you reclaim your creativity, connect with your purpose, and live with more clarity and intention—even in a small space or a season of transition.

Whether you’re nurturing herbs on a windowsill, tending to your creative dreams, or reinventing your life from the ground up…you’re growing something real. And you don’t have to do it alone.

Let’s grow something beautiful—together.

Xo, Belle.
